About
Made in Varanasi, for the world.
Novapex Studio is a small, independent app studio from Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities on Earth. We build Android apps that feel premium, stay light on your phone and treat your attention and your data with respect.
Who we are
We started Novapex Studio because the apps we wanted did not exist: a mantra counter that did not nag, a wallpaper app that told the truth about battery drain, tools that did one job and got out of the way. So we built them, one at a time, with the kind of care you can only afford when you are small.
"Novapex" is a nova and an apex: a bright new beginning and a high point worth climbing to. It is also a reminder to ourselves that quality is the whole strategy.
Our mission
To make everyday Android apps that are calm, honest and beautifully built, and to prove that a studio from a small Indian city can serve people in every country with the same standard of craft.
How we work
- Every app ships with its own plain-language privacy policy and terms, right here on this site.
- We publish the battery and permission facts for each app, and we design to keep them minimal.
- We read every support email. Replies may take a day or two, but they come from a human.
- Free apps are supported by respectful ads, never by selling your data.
Values
What we optimise for
-
Calm by default
Our apps should lower the noise in your day, not add to it. No streak-shaming, no manipulative notifications.
-
Respect the device
Battery, storage and memory are shared resources. We measure them and design around them.
-
Privacy is a feature
On-device first, no accounts unless a feature truly needs one, and clear policies written in plain language.
-
Rooted, not limited
We draw on the culture of Varanasi and India, and build for people everywhere.
